Anyone running a business (including me) knows they are often too close to see what's really going on or the hidden problems and possibilities which could mean your business could be losing money or not capturing every dollar out there.
A Business Coach provides an unbiased, external perspective (with sometimes a bit of tough love) to help you determine what's working, what's wrong, what's possible and what's next.
Many of my clients are very focused and driven people but they want someone who understand their challenges so they can:
- bounce ideas to get confirmation it's financially viable and/or the right option for right now
- vent about someone or something and know it's OK to do that (so they don't take it home to family and friends)
- run their eyes over a new or revised system to ensure it's easy to understand and simple to implement
- gain an independent perspective about to do next
WHY WORK WITH ME?
I know there's lots of business coaches out there, all promising to help solve your problems and grow your business.
And I can make that claim too but as I've been where you are, I understand the challenges and issues you face in running a small business whilst juggling everything else including doing the work and managing your team.
My other key differences from other business coaches is my perspective and my superpowers.
My different perspective is I draw inspiration, ideas and solutions from the world of sport to help you and your team grow a simple profitable business you actually love.
Not only am I a lover and student of sport, for 9 years, I was a junior netball coach and successfully got most of my teams into grand finals including one of them achieving back to back premierships.
As the Coach, I believed it was my job to:
- develop the Team and Game Day Plan (Strategy)
- help my players learn and apply the netball fundamentals (Steps)
- provide the team and individual players with positive encouragement and constructive but measured feedback to improve their game (Support).
So just like coaching my netball team, my small business coaching services are all about providing STRATEGY, FOCUS and SUPPORT.
And because I'm all about the HOW, I'm driven to providing simple solutions to solve the problems causing frustration, confusion and overwhelm. I also see things others don't so I find untapped opportunities to improve the profitability, productivity and performance of your small business.
WHO DO I COACH?
Whilst I generally coach the business owner, I also coach staff members. This is because often the owner would like to provide more support to their staff, but they struggle to find the time. So owners engage me to help their staff because of my extensive leadership and business management skills, and understanding what it takes to do a variety of roles in a small business.
My superpowers include:
- Solve problems quickly and easily
- Make the complex ... simple
- Being strategic (what) AND detailed (how) - usually it's one or the other
- See things others don't (problems and possibilities)
- Tell it like it is - with support and understanding
- Getting knowledge out of people's heads
